These hotlines are staffed by attorneys who provide assistance to Texans on a variety of legal concerns related to domestic violence, sexual assault and family law. Callers will first speak to an Intake Specialist who gathers initial information and determines which of our resources is most appropriate for the caller. The Civil Division of the Women’s Advocacy Project represents battered women free of charge in family law legal matters (e.g., divorce, custody, support, and protective orders.) We handle cases in Travis and Williamson counties only.
